What would an Ubisoft conference be without a little Assassin’s Creed action? After promising to spread out their development time for the franchise, Ubisoft just couldn’t help themselves. Assasin’s Creed Odyssey, which takes place in Ancient Greece, is set to release on October 5, 2018, on Xbox One, PlayStation4, and PC.
Set in 431 BC, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey actually takes place before the events in AC Origins, which took a look at the Ancient Egyptians. This assassin adventure will actually feature branching story paths that affect your playthrough and the world of Ancient Greece. With one of your two playable characters, choosing to fight the Spartans or to fight the Athenians is one of the major choices throughout the storyline.
The changes don’t stop there. Assassin’s Creed Odyssey will also feature customizable combat abilities, mix-and-match armor sets to perfectly match your own play style, and, obviously, the brand new setting and time!
While this might have been a cool E3 world premiere, the newest iteration of the Assassin’s Creed series was leaked because of a keychain of all things. However, when it comes to the franchise, it is quite famous for being leaked before their time. The famed keychain is a part of one of the numerous Odyssey pre-orders: Standard, Deluxe, Gold Steelbook, and Ultimate Edition, and will be available on October 5!
